This week, I spoke to Adam Chandler, the author of the new book Drive Thru Dreams: A Journey Through the Heart of America's Fast-Food Kingdom, which just came out last week.

The book is a social history of fast food, a recurring topic in Numlock, and gets into how these restaurants got so popular and the unique and complicated place that fast food inhabits in society. It’s a really, really fun read.
