Numlock Sunday: Andy Warner on The Nib Pandemic Issue
By Walt Hickey
Welcome to the Numlock Sunday edition. Each week, I'll sit down with an author or a writer behind one of the stories covered in a previous weekday edition for a casual conversation about what they wrote.
This week, I spoke to Andy Warner, a contributing editor at comics consortium The Nib. I’m a huge fan of them, and after a herculean effort on the part of the contributors and the team, they managed to publish a new print edition of their magazine devoted to the Pandemic.
I got mine in the mail last week, and it seemed as good an opportunity as any to reach out to Andy and chat about The Nib and his recurring segment within it, The Nib Bureau of Statistics. It’s a very fun data visualization presentation that in this issue became a sprawling, fold-out display of the impact of the pandemic not just on human life but also on the wallets of the wealthy.
