Welcome to the Numlock Sunday edition. Each week, I'll sit down with an author or a writer behind one of the stories covered in a previous weekday edition for a casual conversation about what they wrote.

This week, I spoke to Derek Thompson, a Numlock regular who writes for The Atlantic. Last week saw the release of the new season of his wonderful podcast, Crazy/Genius.

We spoke about the forthcoming season of the show, how the concept of privacy is a fairly new invention, how we’re potentially missing one of the largest stories of the internet because it’s uncomfortable to talk about and how to make a good podcast.
