Frank Lloyd Wright was such an arrogant jerk. This is at least the second time Fallingwater nearly fell into Bear Run. He wouldn’t hear of other peoples’ concerns, including those who commissioned his work. All about form. Function not so much.

When I toured Fallingwater, the guide quoted the wife in the couple who commissioned it, saying: "We complained about the lack of closet space, and Wright told us: 'Wear fewer clothes.' It took us years to learn how to live there." Not the best response to THE PEOPLE WHO WERE PAYING FOR IT. FLW might have followed up with: "And, too bad if it falls into the river."

Agree. His kitchens designs were ridiculous. Clearly he wasn’t the one cooking!
