Some of that air is helpful in keeping the chips from getting crushed during handling. As long as it’s sold by weight, I got no problems.
Which would explain why pringles has so little air, harder to crush the packaging.
Air in the bags of chips, since they are looking at vacuum-sealed contents as the “weight of stuff in bag” will be nicer to dense objects like chips or Fritos and less nice to puffed snacks like Cheetos.
Man now I really want some Cheetos.
