Displaced, disaffected Montreal Expos fan here. A big part of the baseball fan in me died in 2004, when the Expos moved to DC and became the Senators, and I'll admit, I watched not a single second of the World Series. It barely crossed my radar screen.
Beisbol is something where being without it for a long time really does not cause too much much distress it’s passed. Move on. I miss the old game, but with the analytics on everything, it’s done. Some of the pitching stats are dead forever. 20-game winner? Okay, Boomer.
(As a Royals’ fan, the two series appearance brought back brief interest, but they’re back to the basement for another 25 years. As for the Expos, I mean Nats, I’ve been in and out of DC since the mid-aughts, and never been to a game. Going to RFK wasn’t of interest at all all when I could kinda still see...)
